Hi
I am Kirsty Oxley. I have a Masters in Counselling from the University of Northampton.
I welcome working with clients from any background and with any concerns they wish to explore in therapy. This may be anxiety, depression, grief etc. I am an Integrative therapist and this also includes creative therapies that sometimes feel more comfortable than talking. This includes drawing, writing and using objects to depict stories and emotions. I also offer walk and talk therapy in the local area.
I completed my placement working with clients on the Autism Spectrum and also with clients with ADHD. I have lived experience of neurodiversity.
In my spare time I enjoy sitting with a good book and spending time with my dog, cat, family,
and friends.
I am currently in my second year of a PhD in Psychology at the university of Worcester. The focus of the study is the emotional experience of therapists when erotic transference and countertransference is present in the therapeutic relationship.
